-
Joe Noteboom LAR OG
Rams' Joe Noteboom: Full participant in practice
4h agoNoteboom (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Noteboom left Monday's loss to the Bengals early with a knee injury but appears to have overcome it. The Rams will be glad to have the 2018 third-round pick back so they don't have to worry about being without a left tackle for the second straight week, as backup tackle Alaric Jackson was also injured last week.
-
Geno Stone BAL SAF
Ravens' Geno Stone: Ready to go for Week 4
4h agoStone (ribs) did not appear on the Ravens' injury report Wednesday.
Stone suffered a ribs injury in the team's 22-19 loss to the Colts in Week 3, but he appears to be ready to go for Sunday's matchup with the Browns. He could draw the start at free safety with Marcus Williams (pectoral) uncertain again in Week 4.
-
Christopher Hinton LAC DL
Chargers' Chris Hinton: Removed from injury report
4h agoHinton (back) is not on the Chargers' injury report ahead of their matchup with the Raiders on Sunday.
Hinton has seemingly recovered from a back injury that kept him out of last week's win against the Vikings. The 23-year-old will now look to make his season debut for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
-
Zayne Anderson GB SAF
Packers' Zayne Anderson: Not playing Thursday
5h agoThe Packers have ruled out Anderson (hamstring) for Thursday's game against the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Anderson will now be sidelined for the second straight week with a hamstring injury. The 26-year-old will now have to wait at least one more week to make his season debut.
-
Zach Tom GB OT
Packers' Zach Tom: Questionable for TNF
5h agoTom (knee) is considered questionable to play Thursday night versus the Lions, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Tom suffered a knee injury in the Packers' 18-17 win over the Saints in Week 3 and his status for Week 4 is now in question. If he can't go versus Detroit, either Yosh Nijman or Caleb Jones could step into a starting role.
-
Elgton Jenkins GB OG
Packers' Elgton Jenkins: Ruled out again
5h agoJenkins (knee) will miss Thursday's game against the Lions, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Jenkins suffered an MCL sprain Week 2 that will keep him sidelined once again. The Packers will be short handed on the left side of the line as David Bakhtiari (knee) is also out, so Rasheed Walker and Royce Newman will start at left tackle and left guard respectively.
-
Andy Dalton CAR QB
Panthers' Andy Dalton: Returning to backup duties
5h agoWith Bryce Young (ankle) set to return for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Vikings, Dalton is expected to return to No. 2 duties, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Young was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, putting him on track for Week 4. In his absence against the Seahawks, Dalton completed 34 of 58 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns, adding two carries for 11 yards. Dalton remains one of the top backups in the league.
-
Patrick Mahomes KC QB
Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Full practice Wednesday
10h agoMahomes (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday.
Mahomes had his right ankle rolled up on in the waning moments of the first half this past Sunday against the Bears. He was able to stay in the game and then lead the offense after the mid-game break, and despite getting subbed out early in the 41-10 blowout win, he still completed 24 of 33 passes for 272 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions while notching 28 more yards on three carries. With an uncapped session under his belt to kick off Week 4 prep, Mahomes is good to go ahead of Sunday's visit to the Jets.
-
Joe Burrow CIN QB
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Full participant in walkthrough
10h agoBurrow (calf) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Burrow hasn't been his usual dynamic self this season since suffering a calf injury in the early days of training camp. He even was among the biggest question marks for Week 3 action, but he was able to suit up Monday against the Rams, completing 26 of 49 passes for 259 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in a 19-16 victory. The Bengals held a walkthrough Wednesday, so his listed activity level should be taken with a grain of salt, especially after coach Zac Taylor told Ben Baby of ESPN.com that Burrow's workload will be watched closely each day this week. With that knowledge, Burrow's status should continue to be monitored ahead of Sunday's game at Tennessee.
-
Deshaun Watson CLE QB
Browns' Deshaun Watson: Limited practice Wednesday
10h agoWatson (shoulder) was officially listed as limited in practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Petrak relayed earlier Wednesday that Watson would be resting his right shoulder in practice. Throwing 102 passes over Cleveland's first three games has led to some shoulder fatigue for Watson, but it isn't expected to threaten his availability for Sunday's home game against the Ravens.
-
Anthony Richardson IND QB
Colts' Anthony Richardson: Logs full practice
11h agoRichardson (concussion) was listed as a full practice participant Wednesday.
Richardson didn't practice last week before being ruled out for Week 3 action, but the QB's return to a full session Wednesday has him trending toward being available Sunday against the Rams. Such an outcome will be solidified once Richardson officially clears the NFL's concussion protocol.
-
Derek Carr NO QB
Saints' Derek Carr: Not ready to practice
11h agoCarr (shoulder) didn't practice Thursday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
As expected, two days after Saints coach Dennis Allen said his starting quarterback is week-to-week with an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder. Carr wasn't able to rejoin Sunday's 18-17 loss to the Packers after his early exit, leaving Jameis Winston under center for a second-half collapse in which the Saints produced four punts and one missed field goal on their final five drives. Winston nonetheless profiles as one of the better backups in the league, if not the best, and he's on track to make at least one start while Carr recovers from his shoulder injury.
-
Gus Edwards BAL RB
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Exits protocol, good to go Week 4
6h agoRavens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed after Wednesday's practice that Edwards is not in the NFL's concussion protocol, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.
Edwards was a full participant in the Ravens' first Week 4 practice, and Harbaugh's comments following the session indicate that the running back is in the clear for Sunday's game in Cleveland since he won't be subject to the five-step protocol. The 27-year-old carried 11 times for 51 yards before exiting late in the fourth quarter of this past weekend's 22-19 overtime loss to the Colts to be evaluated for a concussion, but he was apparently never diagnosed with a brain injury.
-
Chris Rodriguez Jr. WAS RB
Commanders' Chris Rodriguez: Limited by illness Wednesday
7h agoRodriguez (illness) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Selected 193rd overall in this year's NFL Draft, Rodriguez has played six offensive snaps through his first three games, seeing another 54 snaps on special teams. He's rushed three times for seven scoreless yards. Derrick Gore is on the Commanders' practice squad should Rodriguez not be able to play in Week 4.
-
James Conner ARI RB
Cardinals' James Conner: Tending to back injury
8h agoConner practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday due to a back injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The oft-injured running back is dealing with his second health concern of the season after enduring some practice limitations during Week 2 prep due to a calf issue. His status will be one to watch closely as the week goes on, but so long as Conner is a full practice participant by Friday, he'll have a good chance at approaching Sunday's game in San Francisco without an injury designation. Through three games, Conner has easily paced the Cardinals backfield to the tune of 58 touches for 292 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.
-
Austin Ekeler LAC RB
Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Logs limited practice
9h agoEkeler (ankle) returned to a limited practice Wednesday.
Ekeler didn't practice at all last week, so his return to the field Wednesday, albeit in a limited fashion, is a positive indicator with regard to the running back's chances of suiting up Sunday against the Raiders. Ekeler will now have two more chances to upgrade to full participation, which he'd presumably need to do in order to avoid a Week 4 injury designation.
-
Gus Edwards BAL RB
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Listed as full practice participant
10h agoEdwards (concussion) was listed as a full practice participant Wednesday.
Edwards was evaluated for a concussion during this past Sunday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Colts, and even though he was back on the field three days later as a full participant in practice, the Ravens haven't yet confirmed whether the running back is still following the five-step protocol for head injuries. At the very least, Edwards' ability to practice fully suggests that he's close to being removed from the protocol, if he was diagnosed with a concussion following his departure from the Week 3 loss. Meanwhile, fellow running back Justice Hill (foot) remained sidelined for Wednesday's session, so Edwards may be the healthier of the two heading into this Sunday's game in Cleveland.
-
Jerome Ford CLE RB
Browns' Jerome Ford: Limited due to shoulder injury
10h agoFord (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram reports.
This is the first time a shoulder injury has popped up for Ford, who has 182 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in the last two games since stepping into the lead role following Nick Chubb's season-ending knee injury. A limited showing Wednesday isn't much cause for concern, and Ford can put any doubts about his availability for Sunday's game against Baltimore to rest by practicing fully Thursday or Friday. Kareem Hunt (ribs/groin) and Pierre Strong worked in complementary roles behind Ford in last week's win over Tennessee.
-
Ben Skowronek LAR WR
Rams' Ben Skowronek: Doesn't practice Wednesday
6h agoSkowronek (Achilles) missed practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Skowronek is dealing with an Achilles injury seemingly suffered during Monday's loss to the Bengals. If the 26-year-old ends up missing time, Demarcus Robinson will likely be in line for more snaps.
-
Gunner Olszewski PIT WR
Steelers' Gunner Olszewski: Practices fully Wednesday
6h agoOlszewski (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
It's unclear if Olszewski is through the concussion protocol, but the full practice does put him on track to return for Week 4 after he missed last Sunday night's win over the Raiders. The slot man has played just one snap each on offense and special teams this season.
-
Daniel Arias KC WR
Daniel Arias: Joins Kansas City
6h agoArias signed with Kansas City's practice squad Wednesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Arias will join the Chiefs practice squad as the team is currently dealing with injuries at the receiver position. It is still unlikely that the 25-year-old will be elevated in the near future, as the team previously signed Montrell Washington to their active roster.
-
Montrell Washington KC WR
Chiefs' Montrell Washington: Signed to active roster
6h agoThe Chiefs signed Washington from their practice squad to the active roster Wednesday, Mat McMullen of the team's official site reports.
Washington was elevated from the practice squad ahead of last week's win against the Bears to serve as the team's returner and impressed enough to get a permanent spot on the roster. With Richie James (knee) on injured reserve, the 24-year-old will likely continue to serve as the primary returner for the near future.
-
Cody Thompson SEA WR
Cody Thompson: Waived by Seattle
7h agoThe Seahawks waived Thompson on Wednesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Thompson will head to waivers after spending five years in Seattle both on the active roster and practice squad. The 27-year-old was not targeted a single time in the team's first three games and will now look to catch on with another team.
-
Charlie Jones CIN WR
Bengals' Charlie Jones: Estimated as DNP Wednesday
7h agoJones (thumb) was listed as DNP for Wednesday's estimated practice report, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Originally, Jones was expected to be limited Wednesday, but the Bengals gave him the DNP status for their walkthrough. Selected 131st overall in this year's NFL Draft, Jones has played three offensive snaps but has been an asset on special teams as a punt returner, taking one back 81 yards for a touchdown in Week 2.
-
Ko Kieft TB TE
Buccaneers' Ko Kieft: No targets over 10 snaps
5h agoKieft logged 10 snaps on offense but did not draw a target in the Buccaneers' 25-11 loss to the Eagles on Monday night.
The blocking tight end saw Baker Mayfield throw in his direction on three occasions without success in Week 1 against the Vikings, and he's subsequently failed to draw a target over the next two games. Kieft didn't even officially run any routes Monday night, as his blocking presence was needed versus an aggressive Eagles defense. Kieft's fantasy value figures to remain non-existent as long as complementary pass-catching options at tight end like David Wells and Payne Durham are healthy behind Cade Otton.
-
Jake Tonges SF TE
Jake Tonges: Signs with 49ers' practice squad
6h agoTonges was signed to the 49ers' practice squad Wednesday.
Tonges will head to San Francisco after he was waived from the Bears' injured reserve in August with an undisclosed injury. He has clearly left the injury in the past and he'll look to earn an elevation to the 49ers' active roster down the road.
-
Tyler Higbee LAR TE
Rams' Tyler Higbee: Has Achilles injury
8h agoHigbee missed Wednesday's walkthrough due to an Achilles injury, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
The Rams' passing attack has been dominated by rookie fifth-rounder Puka Nacua (oblique) with Cooper Kupp (hamstring) on IR to start the season, but Higbee has been a nice complementary piece with two games of 40-plus yards, including 71 yards during Monday's loss in Cincinnati. Unfortunately for Higbee, he's tending to an injury to one of the most-feared parts of one's body: the Achilles. As a result, his status should be monitored as the weekend approaches to get a sense of his potential to play (or not) Sunday at Indianapolis.
-
Gerald Everett LAC TE
Chargers' Gerald Everett: Misses practice Wednesday
9h agoEverett (illness) didn't practice Wednesday.
Everett has two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders, but the tight end's status is now worth monitoring in advance of Week 4 action. In the Chargers' 28-24 win over the Vikings this past weekend, Everett caught all six of his targets for 30 yards.
-
Foster Moreau NO TE
Saints' Foster Moreau: Remains sidelined
9h agoMoreau (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Moreau closed out last week with a limited practice before being ruled out for the team's Week 3 loss to the Packers, so this seems like a potential step in the wrong direction. However, he'll try to return to the field Thursday as he works to be prepared to play Sunday against the Buccaneers.
-
Irv Smith CIN TE
Bengals' Irv Smith: Listed as non-participant Wednesday
10h agoSmith (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Smith was inactive for the Bengals' Week 3 win over the Rams and his listed non-participation Wednesday clouds his status for Sunday's game against the Titans. If Smith remains out this weekend, Drew Sample, Mitchell Wilcox and Tanner Hudson would once again be in line to handle Cincinnati's TE duties.
-
Evan McPherson CIN K
Bengals' Evan McPherson: Scores double figures
1d agoMcPherson made four of five field-goal attempts as well as his only extra-point try in Monday night's 19-16 win over the Rams.
McPherson accounted for 13 of his team's points, connecting on field goals from 49, 53, 48 and 54 yards. That impressive effort came despite him sending a 56-yard effort wide left on Cincinnati's first drive, just his second miss of the season. Through three games, he now sports 22 points.
-
Eddy Pineiro CAR K
Panthers' Eddy Pineiro: First miss of season
1d agoPineiro missed one of his three field-goal attempts and made all three of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Seahawks.
Pineiro converted from 47 and 44 yards prior to missing wide right with a 55-yard attempt during the third quarter. While that marked his first failed effort of the campaign, Pineiro has now scored nine points in consecutive contests.
-
Justin Tucker BAL K
Ravens' Justin Tucker: Short on game-winner
1d agoTucker missed one of his two field-goal attempts and made both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 22-19 overtime loss to the Colts.
Tucker didn't have enough leg on a 61-yard attempt to win the game with seconds remaining. However, he did convert a 50-yarder earlier. The future Hall of Famer has missed long kicks in consecutive contests, leaving him with just 19 points through three weeks.
-
Chase McLaughlin TB K
Buccaneers' Chase McLaughlin: Limited opportunity in Week 3 loss
1d agoMcLaughlin drilled his only field-goal attempt, which came from 33 yards, and didn't attempt any extra points in the Buccaneers' 25-11 loss to the Eagles on Monday night.
A week after he attempted six total kicks in a win against the Bears, McLaughlin had a quiet night thanks to an Eagles defense that mostly clamped down on the Buccaneers' ground and air attacks. Tampa Bay also went for a two-point conversion after its only touchdown, leaving McLaughlin and his fantasy managers looking ahead to what could be a more favorable scenario in a Week 4 road dome matchup against the Saints.
-
Jake Elliott PHI K
Eagles' Jake Elliott: Clean performance in Week 3
1d agoElliott didn't miss a kick in Monday's win over the Buccaneers, converting two extra points and three field goals.
Elliott will be happy with his first perfect performance of the season after missing one kick in each of the Eagles' first two games, though to be fair, he wasn't asked to do anything difficult this time around. After attempting two kicks from beyond 50 yards in both of the first two weeks, he was merely asked to convert from 36, 38 and 26 yards. Perhaps most notable is the fact that Elliott has already been given 10 field-goal attempts through three weeks. Last year, he didn't attempt his 10th field goal until Week 12, with the Eagles finishing drives at an uncommon rate, but they've been coming up short more frequently this season.
-
Brett Maher LAR K
Rams' Brett Maher: No misses for second straight week
1d agoMaher converted all three of his field-goal attempts and his lone PAT in Monday's 19-16 loss to the Bengals.
After a spotty start in Week 1 where Maher missed two field-goal attempts, the veteran has been a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals over the past two weeks. The Rams offense in the red zone was stuck in neutral for most of the night, which created plenty of opportunities for Maher to produce. A Week 4 matchup with the Colts lies ahead, and Maher's hold on the kicking position for the Rams should be a near lock after two very solid performances.
-
Geno Stone BAL SAF
Ravens' Geno Stone: Ready to go for Week 4
4h agoStone (ribs) did not appear on the Ravens' injury report Wednesday.
Stone suffered a ribs injury in the team's 22-19 loss to the Colts in Week 3, but he appears to be ready to go for Sunday's matchup with the Browns. He could draw the start at free safety with Marcus Williams (pectoral) uncertain again in Week 4.
-
Zayne Anderson GB SAF
Packers' Zayne Anderson: Not playing Thursday
5h agoThe Packers have ruled out Anderson (hamstring) for Thursday's game against the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Anderson will now be sidelined for the second straight week with a hamstring injury. The 26-year-old will now have to wait at least one more week to make his season debut.
-
Derrek Pitts Jr. TB CB
Buccaneers' Derrek Pitts: Unavailable for walk-through
5h agoPitts (undisclosed) was estimated as a nonparticipant at the Buccaneers' walk-through Wednesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Pitts logged 18 defensive snaps in the team's loss to the Eagles on Monday, recording two tackles. With Jamel Dean (shoulder) also considered a nonparticipant at the walk-through, Tampa Bay could be thin in the secondary Sunday versus the Saints.
-
Zyon McCollum TB CB
Buccaneers' Zyon McCollum: Productive with elevated snaps
5h agoMcCollum recorded six tackles (four solo) and one defensed pass in the Buccaneers' 25-11 loss to the Eagles on Monday night.
McCollum played on all 80 defensive snaps with Carlton Davis (toe) sidelined and Jamel Dean exiting with neck and shoulder injuries after 38 snaps. The speedy McCollum acquitted himself well overall, and with Dean failing to practice Wednesday, the former could be trusted with a starting assignment in what profiles as a tough Week 4 road matchup versus the Saints' talented group of receivers.
-
Christian Izien TB DB
Buccaneers' Christian Izien: Stellar tackling night Monday
5h agoIzien recorded eight tackles (six solo) in the Buccaneers' 25-11 loss to the Eagles on Monday night.
Izien logged 39 snaps overall while Carlton Davis (toe) missed a second straight game and Jamel Dean exited early with a shoulder injury. Izien recorded the best tackle total of his young career in the process, helping offset the fact he failed to get his hands on the ball for the first time as a pro after tallying a pair of interceptions in his first two contests. Even when the secondary is at full health, Izien should continue to enjoy a robust role considering his slot cornerback duties and ability to rotate in at safety if necessary.
-
Josh Metellus MIN SAF
Vikings' Josh Metellus: Misses practice Wednesday
6h agoMetellus (shoulder) missed the Vikings' practice Wednesday, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Although Metellus did not participate Wednesday, head coach Kevin O'Connell still hopes he'll be able to go Sunday versus Panthers. The safety will have two more chances to return to practice this week.
